Our History
With more than three decades of experience, Dacar Paints began its journey with a focus on the automotive industry. Over the years, the company soon realized the potential of the real estate market and expanded its operations. 1985
Foundation and beginning in the automotive market
With the objective of offering a line of products for the automotive market, Tintas Dacar started its activities this year. The rapid acceptance of its products has propelled the company to expand its production to meet market demand.
1989
Entry into the real estate paints segment
With good results in the commercial sector, the company decides to expand its portfolio to the real estate paint market. The demand grows exponentially, requiring the first expansion of the industrial park.
1993
First major industrial expansion
With the increase in sales, Tintas Dacar expands its facilities again, reaching 30,000 m² in an urbanized area of 60,000 m², close to the South-North corridors of the country in São José dos Pinhais, metropolitan region of Curitiba. Investments in innovation and training also mark this phase of growth.
2003
Launch of the Tintometric System - Servcor
The quality of our products is now attested by the ‘Dacar Quality Assured’ seal, the result of a rigorous quality control process. That same year, Dacar invested in research to understand how colors influence human behavior. The findings of this study resulted in the Dacar/Servcor Tintometric System which, with high technology, produces and repeats with accuracy approximately 1,400 colors.
2007
Installation of the resin plant
The construction of the resin plant, with the capacity to produce two thousand tons per month of alkyd resins and acrylic emulsions, strengthens the quality, standardization of characteristics and product specifications.
Timeliness
Leadership in Paraná and national presence
Today, Tintas Dacar is the leader in the manufacture of real estate paints in Paraná. Paints, varnishes, textures, solvents and other complements add up to more than 800 products that are available in Brazil and in Mercosur countries. The company is recognized for its quality, a brand attested and approved by the PSQ – Sectorial Program for the Quality of Real Estate Paints. In addition, Tintas Dacar is a member of ABRAFATI – Brazilian Association of Paint Manufacturers.
