How to measure?
Measuring a wall before painting is an important step in ensuring that you purchase the right amount of paint and avoid waste. In the chart below we simulate an environment to help you take the measurements correctly. Don’t forget to subtract in the “Unpainted area” the areas that are not needed in the calculation.
Add a margin of 10% to 20% to the total area to compensate for non-paintable areas such as sloping ceilings, textures, or paint absorption by the surface.
